Yukky health issues

After 25 years of Hepatitis C it's time to bite the bullet and check the state of my liver. Basically that means subjecting myself to a liver biopsy. Meaning a huge needle will be passed into my liver 5 times to extract enough of a sample to get a good squiz of. The risk of complications is 1 in 300 and pain almost a certainty. But a girls got to do what a girls got to do.

Results of biopsy came back. Stage 2 fibrosis. Will need to go on the pegylated-interferon treatment program the doc says within 2 years and have a good chance of clearing my body of the virus. It will prolong my life and give me a better quality of life. If I don't clear the virus, well I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. Have already lost a dear friend to this disease, Lee passed away a year ago but his virus seems to have been more agressive than mine.
